Researchers grow kind snapshot to help the blind to see

The Specialist Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri Columbia U.S. Christina Narvstorm work to develop the cultivation of computer chip to help animals devoid sight to see, according to Narvstorm the initial results are promising.
Narvstorm says: "One out of every 3,500 people around the world suffering from a hereditary disease known as inflammation of the retina pigmentosa, which leads to the death of retinal cells and then blindness."
"Our goal in this study is to determine the factors of safety in the case of agriculture for the development of surgical technique. We are also considering the extent of protection to be provided by Agriculture Organization of the retinal cells that die due to complications of the disease in the hope of the possibility of maintaining the blind for longer durations than in cases that are left untreated."
And conduct experiments on cats Narvstorm Abyssinian and Persian infected with inflammation of the retina pigmentosa gene.
Cat's Eye is a good example of such a test because they closely resemble the human eye in size and composition is therefore set out to use the same technology and equipment with rights.
Also, cats share with humans in many diseases affecting the eye. Abyssinian cats have started taking place Narvstorm experiences in the blind with the ages of one to two years and was hit with the blind fully reach the age of four.
So far, it has Narvstorm hold surgeries on cats that suffer from severe problems with vision and other cats lost sight completely. During the surgery, you do Narvstorm Qteitan holes in the wall outside of the eyeball, known as solid. After removing the liquid glass on the back of the eyeball, the work Narvstorm small point in the retina is sufficient to put a small computer chip with a diameter of 2 mm thick and 23 micrometers (one millionth of a meter). The chip contains a few thousands of tiny LEDs, which made electrical pulses to the retina when exposed to light.
Narvstorm says: "We are excited about this new technology and can result in improvement in vision in the millions of blind people around the world. It is possible that this technology is also useful in animals that suffer from similar diseases."
And works in collaboration with the company Narvstorm Obtopayunieks in Illinois for the development of chips and Machel Pardo, a researcher at the University Amiroa.
