Air bag inflates, may lead to hearing loss

Confirmed by researchers from the United States that the instantaneous swelling of the air cushion in the US-made cars may lead to permanent loss of hearing in 17% of the users of these vehicles.
The risk analysis advisory hearing in the state of Maryland, Dr. Richard Price, the U.S. had conducted his experiments on cars that use front airbags and side and manufactured in the United States. And require these vehicles according to the specifications of U.S. air bag to be bigger and stronger than their counterparts in Europe and elsewhere in the world.
Price found that unlike popular belief, the occupants are at greater risk of damage to hearing at the fact that the windows are open.
The prevailing belief is that the danger lies in the fact that the windows closed to generate pressure inside the car, but Bryce had a different opinion stressed that where the greater the pressure inside the car, the less likely to get ear damage the swell airbags.
According to Brice fact that windows are closed leads to a shift in the middle ear, which results in stiffness in the stirrup bone inside the ear - a bone a small sitting in front of the inner ear - and causes stiffness in the bone temporary to the extent of the energy that reaches the inner ear, which is likely not to damage or at least limit the damage to this region.
In fact, experience has shown that the least damage to the very fact that the closed passenger compartment, which is more pressure inside the car when starting pillows.
It is expected to present his findings in front of Bryce annual meeting of the U.S. National Association of the preserve where the hearing will explain the risks of some of the acts of daily hearing rights.
He says Assembly President Brian Brice Valgeor that work sheds some light on some of the technological risks that one rarely thinks about it.
"I often think about the benefits of technology without considering the unfortunate side effects that it produces. This study highlighted the risks of the business daily heard the man."
