Scholars stress the risks of long-haul flights

Warned a new study issued by the World Health Organization of the risks posed by the long travel, especially those involved to sit without movement for long hours because the chances of venous thrombosis doubles after travel lasting more than four hours.
The study shows that the risk of venous clotting up the passengers on the plane, train or bus or car when sitting motionless for long periods, due to stagnation of blood in the veins.
The study focused on one of the aspects of the flights in particular, to reach that rate the risk of stroke increases also with the blood of passengers traveling in several aircraft during the short period of time as risk factors remain high over the four weeks after the trip.
There are also many other factors that increase the risk of stroke, including obesity and tall or short and the use of oral contraceptives and inherited blood disorders that lead to higher susceptibility to stroke.
The study did not seek to discuss effective measures to prevent the risk of blood clots deep veins, but the experts acknowledged the possibility of promoting blood circulation to activate calf muscles by moving the foot and ankle joint from bottom to top and vice versa.
The experts confirmed that moving the foot in this way contributes to the blood flow in the calf muscle veins, thus limiting its stagnation. Travellers should also avoid wearing tight clothing that may cause a recession in the blood.
