Despite the doctors warning, many do not look after their teeth

British researchers found that despite the warning of the dangers of dentists neglect teeth, there are indications that the methods of control behaviors do not help brushing their teeth, patients on a regular basis.
The researchers looked at the results of four previous research included 344 people were suffering from the problem of chronic inflammation of the gums.
In one of these studies, patients in the presence of five sessions and reached for some of them to 90 minutes for proper care of teeth and gums in two studies requested by another two patients interviewed psychologists to discuss the care of teeth and gums. In the fourth study, patients visiting expert teeth and gums twice a week.
But the British researchers have found flaws in the way of conducting these studies, making it difficult to draw specific conclusion of any of them.
Professor Peter Robinson: "We need studies of the highest quality to assess the impact of psychological intervention to improve the way people take care of your oral health. I think we need more research because I am sure that there is significant impact of psychological intervention in dental care."
"The work of Dentistry, much in the attempt to teach patients and convince them to change their behavior wrong, but we did not succeed. Was we believe that in the case of giving people information, it is supposed to change their behavior. With some changes, but the maintenance is very difficult, so it's best for us and them that psychiatrists interested hauled change. "
Has been published the findings of the research in the April issue of the current library Krukin for mental health.
